My mom is like a giving tree. She is constantly giving to others and not thinking about what she wants for herself. Her cooking is a prime example of her unwillingness to be selfish. It is always what dad wants or what the kids want for dinner.
My goal for myself is to be learn to be selfish. My mom has taught me to cater to men because that is what Southern women do. Although I love making foods that my fiance requests, sometimes I just want to make the foods I crave.
My fiance is not the pickiest person in the world which makes it easy for me to complete my goal. He often likes the meals that I create better than the meals that he wanted me to make.
